Oculus Attending CES 2016 with Huge Show Floor Booth
Virtual reality is one of the most talked about, and growing industries currently in the technology right now, and is shaping 2016 to be a major milestone as consumer-ready virtual reality headsets make its way into the hands of mainstream audiences.
According to a report by VRFocus, a Reddit user first posted the floor plan revealing the Oculus VR booth having a very significant presence on the show floor, which is located in the Gaming and Virtual Reality Marketplace at CES 2016.
The Gaming and VR Marketplace at CES 2016 expanding by more than 77 percent, and more than 40 exhibitors are expected to showcase various virtual reality systems and environments, including all the latest hardware, software, and accessories from the gaming industry.
“Developments in virtual and augmented reality have made significant strides to allow us to engage in a 360-degree gaming experience, explore the inside of foreign landmarks, treat phobias, better train medical professionals, virtually attend an event, and much more,” said Karen Chupka senior vice president of corporate business strategy and CES, Consumer Electronics Association (CEA). “The Gaming & Virtual Reality Marketplace at CES 2016 will showcase all of these immersive innovations that are advancing this futuristic industry.”
Many are speculating if Oculus will capture the moment at CES 2016 to finally announce the official release date and price of the consumer version of the Oculus Rift, along with opening pre-orders for early adopters.
