With over 300 entries submissions from developers competing in the 2015 Mobile VR Jam for a chance to win over $1,000,000 in cash prizes, Oculus VR has officially announced its list of finalists that made it through the first round of judging and secured a spot to keep their hopes alive for the top prize.
Developers were challenged throughout this competition to create innovative, immersive experiences for the Samsung Gear VR, developed in partnership with Oculus. After a thorough review of impressive submissions, the judges have narrowed down the competition to 61 finalists—37 of which are from the Games category, and 24 are Apps or Experience.
“We’ve poured over your submissions to make sure each one was reviewed by a least three judges in Round 1, scoring them based on promise and innovation and selecting the top 20% of submissions in each track,” said Oculus in the announcement.
Among the finalists’ include: DRIFT, House of Languages, TightropeVR, Tactera, and Technolust: Thought Crimes.
