With E3 2015 almost upon us, fans of the Rift have been patiently waiting to see what Oculus will bring to the table to deliver the best virtual reality gaming experience possible to consumers.
Today, Oculus VR began sending out invitations to the press announcing it will be holding a special media event a few days before E3 begins to reveal more about its Oculus Rift virtual reality headset.
The mysterious, and enticing invites from Oculus teases with the caption “Step into the Rift”, and will take place in San Francisco on June, 11th, 2015.
While specific details about the event are not exactly known at this time, it’s likely to assume Oculus will offer more information about the consumer Rift final hardware, and possibly an early glimpse into its lineup of upcoming VR games, and applications that will be available when the Oculus Rift is released sometime in early 2016.
Earlier this month Oculus announced its recommended PC specifications to run the Oculus Rift at its full potential. However, many details about the consumer Rift—including VR controller input, and pricing still remain unclear, for now.
Perhaps, as we approach E3 within the next few weeks, we may finally start getting some more answers. Stay tuned for more updates, as this story develops.
