Oculus PC SDK 0.6.0 is Now Available to Developers

Oculus has released the latest version of its software development kit, Oculus PC SDK 0.6.0 for the Oculus Rift virtual reality headset, available now for download directly from Oculus VR website.
The new 0.6.0 SDK update follows the Oculus’ announcement of recommended PC specs to fully experience the Rift. The Oculus SDK is a major update for developers to get the most out of creating content for the Oculus Rift with new optimized features to improve performance and rendering quality.
According to the changelog, there are four major changes to the Oculus SDK 0.6.0 include:
- The addition of the compositor service and texture sets.
- The addition of layer support.
- Removal of client-based rendering.
- Simplification of the API.
