Oculus to Attend Game Developers Conference (GDC) 2015
Virtual reality is set to deliver in a big way during this year’s GDC 2015. The Game Developers Conference 2015 will take place on March 2-6 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, California where video game industry veterans come together to one place and discuss everything about gaming.
Oculus VR is expected to be showcasing the latest prototypes of the Oculus Rift, and Gear VR smartphone-based HMD, developed in partnership with Samsung. In addition, Oculus will be hosting a series of developer discussions at GDC on VR rendering, 3D spatialized audio and the future of virtual reality.
As part of GDC, Oculus VR also confirmed it will be co-hosting a mixer event with Women in Games International (WIGI). The event will take place on March 3rd at The Village (969 Market St, 3rd Floor), and allow attendees to meet with members of the Oculus VR team, talk about VR, and try out the latest Oculus demos. The registration for the WIGI event is expected to open soon on the official event page.
While there are no specific details revealed on a possible consumer version release date for the Oculus Rift yet, many of us are hoping Oculus will provide some additional information at the GDC 2015 event. Stay tuned for more updates as they come.
