Oculus’ long-awaited social app called Venues, which allows you a way to enjoy live concerts, sporting events, stand-up comedy shows, movies, and more together with friends and thousands of other users in VR, is now available on Oculus Go and Gear VR starting today.

With Oculus Venues, viewers will have a front-row seat to experience all the action and excitement of being at a live event with friends and fans from around the world right from the comfort of their home. To kick things off, Oculus Venues first event starts tonight, May 30th, at 7:30pm PT / 10:30pm EST with a performance from Vance Joy, live from Red Rocks Amphitheatre in partnership with AEG Presents, followed by a Gotham Comedy Live stand-up show streamed from New York City tomorrow, May 31st, at 7:00pm PT / 10:30pm EST in partnership with NextVR, a platform that specializes in broadcasting live sports and entertainment events in virtual reality.

Oculus will be highlighting Venues events in the ‘Explore’ feed of Oculus Go and Gear VR, so you’ll be able to subscribe to upcoming events and easily launch the Oculus Venues app to jump right into live performances.
