Oculus VR Reveals New Logo, as Countdown to Pre-E3 Event Begins
Today, Oculus VR officially began its 48-hour countdown to its ‘Step into the Rift‘ press event on June 11th, where we can expect to get the first-look at the consumer version of the Oculus Rift virtual reality headset, and more information about its highly-anticipated release.
In addition, Oculus noticeably rebranded itself with a completely new, and fresh logo. For the first time, the company has dropped its familiar blue ‘all-seeing’ eye for a more simple design, that will surely appeal to consumers as the company begins to strategically position itself for the masses.
The new Oculus’ logo with its ‘stadium’ like-design, in some ways also resembles itself like a head-mounted display with its widened oval shape. However, we can fairly assume there is a deeper, creative metaphoric meaning behind the evolution of its design that we’ll soon learn more about as we lead up to this week’s pre-E3 conference.
The conference will be streamed live on the official Oculus website and Twitch from 10am PT/ 1pm EST. We will be sure to bring you the latest updates, as it unfolds. Stay tuned!
